Guidelines for Answering and Uploading Assignments
At the end of each Module is an assignment with a series of questions and tasks corresponding to the material you have studied. In order to pass the written assignment a 75% pass or above is required. Each question has a corresponding number of points awarded to assist you in determining the degree of information required. If in doubt, more explanation is better than less, and treat me as if I do not know the content of what you are describing. Use your own words and do not copy/paste from the course material!
The written questions are best combined into one Word document. When you have answered the questions, please do not upload immediately. Instead, leave it for 24hrs, then go back and read your answers as if you haven’t written them. As you are reading, pay attention to the grammar and if your answer makes sense. Using the app Grammarly is an incredibly useful tool for all your grammar needs!
Here are a few tips to make sure your content is received properly and to avoid lost work.
- Always save your work before navigating to another page. Should you wish to review the reference materials or lessons while answering the assignment, do so in a separate browser or browser tab. Navigating away from the question without saving your work will erase what you’ve been working on, so be sure to save!
- Some assignments require uploads. Please be sure to keep your file sizes below 2 Megabyte; this helps keep our platform running efficiently. A common problem for large file sizes is photos being too large. If your presentation uses images, be sure to reduce the file size first. Here’s a great and easy to use website to help with this: https://tinypng.com/. You may, of course, email me your presentation.
- Make sure you have a good internet connection while you’re submitting your assignment. Our platform uses the Internet to transfer information and answers submitted when you’re offline or on shaky internet won’t be received. I
- Please note, you may work offline and upload your answers when you have everything completed and on a good internet connection so, it’s an excellent idea to answer your questions in a Word Document and copy them onto the platform when you’re finished. This guarantees you have a secure backup and don’t lose any of your important work when submitting it.
- When re-submitting answers, please reply to the comments rather than submitting a new assignment; alternatively email me your updated answers.
- The assignments are marked out of 100 with a 75% pass mark. The evaluation of the assignment will be uploaded to the platform once completed, and you will receive a notification once that has been done.
- An oral assessment will be conducted after the written assignment has been evaluated.
- Both the written assignment and the oral assessment must be passed to complete the module and course.
As always, please let me know if you have any questions!
